Good morning. You'll need an umbrella on your way out. Rain is in store from the west starting from the mid-afternoon, 5 to 20 millimeters of rain will fall across much of the country. Mountainous regions in Gangwon-do Province will see 1 to 5 centimeters of snow.
BUT today's precipitation won't bring colder air. In fact, notice how mild it is outside this morning. The low is 3 degrees in Seoul. Highs will go up as high as yesterday, reaching 7 degrees.
You can take out lighter jacket this morning if you are in the capital region, but those in Chuncheon and Gyeongju are waking up to sub-freezing temperatures at minus 5 and minus 4 degrees.
Then highs will rise fast to the double digits in Gyeongju at 13 degrees, notice how warm it's going to be on Jeju with an expected high of 17 degrees.
A nationwide wintry mix is in the forecast through the weekend, while readings will remain on the mild side through early next week.
