To make a living during the icy winter monthsgrandmothers in Siberia have been knitting and sewing traditional designs also keeping themselves busy.
These craftswomen are ethnic Tatars and the members of the 'Ebiem Project' which is the Tatar word for 'grandmother'.
They make woolen socks with decorative patterns and traditional Tatar caps known as tubeteika.
"What you're buying is not just caps, slippers, or mittens. You're buying the warmth of a grandmother's hands."
This project was launched in 2016 and the revenue from Ebiem's work is rising, with average purchase prices increasing by 30 percent.
