Samsung Electronics has officially launched its new foldable smartphone in major global markets.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2, as of Friday, is available in 40 markets in North America, Asia and Europe.
Samsung is expecting strong sales, so by the end of October it's going hit shelves in 80 countries, twice as many countries as its predecessor.
In South Korea, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will go on sale next Wednesday.
It's got a preorder volume of some 80-thousand units.
The device retails at just over two-thousand U.S. dollars.
