Young people ‘not invincible’ in COVID-19 pandemic: WHO chief Updated: 2020-07-31 09:37:50 KST

The head of the World Health Organization says evidence suggests that the spike in COVID-19 cases in some countries is partly due to younger people "letting down their guard",. adding that "young people are not invincible" to the virus.
Speaking on Thursday, the WHO chief stressed the dangers the virus can pose to young adults, saying that it can kill young people, not just older age groups.
He advised people everywhere to learn to live with the virus, and to take steps necessary to protect themselves and others, including those most at risk, such as the elderly and those in long-term care.
