Seung-min, it looks like showers have eased here in the capital, but there is heavy rain in some coastal areas?
Well, Jung-hee. Right now, rain is concentrated in upper parts of Gangwon-do Province and along the east coastal areas. There's the possibility of thunder and lightning in these regions tonight, so please be aware.
For tonight, a heavy downpour is in store in upper parts of Gangwon-do Province of 200 millimeters. Coastal areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province will see up to 150. Central regions can expect 5 to 40 millimeters. Showers in areas along the east coast will continue until tomorrow morning. In Chungcheong-do Province and southern regions, rain is set to last a bit longer until the afternoon.
For tomorrow morning, Seoul will kick off at 21 degrees Celsius. Daegu 23 and Gyeongju 22.
For the daytime, Seoul will hit 30 degrees, Daegu 29 and Gyeongju 26.
For the weekend, a monsoonal front will return to Jeju Island. On Monday and Tuesday next week, we’ll be seeing nationwide rain.
For Korea's neighbors, heavy rain has eased in Tokyo, but there's still a high risk of landslides. For those in the area please remain alert at all times.
