While COVID-19 continues to threaten the whole world, a new "unknown pneumonia" that's much more fatal than the coronavirus is spreading across Kazakhstan.
The Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan issued a statement to its citizens there on Thursday.
It said the unidentified pneumonia has reportedly killed more than one-thousand seven-hundred people this year, and over 6-hundred in June only.
It added Kazakhstan's health authorities are conducting research but have yet to find the cause.
Local health authorities say, around 3-hundred people are being diagnosed of pnemonia and hospitalized on a daily basis.
