Seoul city utilizes AI calling system to monitor people in COVID-19 self-quarantine Updated: 2020-04-07 17:04:31 KST

The City of Seoul has started using artificial intelligence to call up on people in self-quarantine so they can be monitored more effectively.
Using a cloud-based AI, the city's 1-2-0 Dasan Call Center will be contacting some two-thousand people who don't have the self-quarantine app on their smartphone.
Those people either don't have a smartphone or were not required to download the app at the time they entered Korea.
The AI asks about their health and whether they have symptoms, and sends data to the city's health officials.
It also gives instructions based on the person's response.
The system can make calls in three different languages: Korean, English and Chinese.
