U.S. Emerges as New Epicenter of Coronavirus As Death Toll Tops 3,000; Caseload Nears 160,000: Live from Washington, D.C. Updated: 2020-03-31 17:23:19 KST

Months into the novel coronavirus outbreak, world leaders are pushing their responses to the pandemic to the brink, with hospital ships arriving in New York City, an unprecedented state of emergency declared in Hungary, and Japan telling its citizens to avoid a third of the world.
The confirmed number of cases worldwide continues to grow nearing 800-thousand.
In the U.S., now the epicenter of the crisis, there are more than 160-thousand almost double those announced by China, where the outbreak began. The death toll there, 3-thousand.

South Korea today announced that elementary, middle, and high schools will remain closed indefinitely classes will only be offered online which means kids will be home-schooled here in this country. Are there schools that are still open in the U.S.? Does it vary by states?
