U.S. universities cancel or postpone study abroad programs to South Korea Updated: 2020-02-28 17:48:14 KST

Universities in the U.S are cancelling or postponing their study abroad programs to South Korea amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Such moves follow the State Department's decision to raise its travel warning for South Korea to Level 3, the second-highest level on a 4-tier scale, and the U.S. CDC's decision to issue the highest type of travel health notice for South Korea.
The CDC is conducting COVID-19 tests on patients with respiratory symptoms who have recently visited South Korea or other nations with many confirmed cases, such as China, Japan, Italy, and Iran.
