S. Korean lawmakers to discuss passing of revised acts to contain COVID-19 outbreak Updated: 2020-02-26 07:02:23 KST

After being shut for 24-hours for disinfection over a possible COVID-19 contamination, South Korea's National Assembly reopens this Wednesday for the ongoing plenary session.
Set to begin at 2PM, Korea time, the session will center around the so-called 'Corona 3 Acts', three revised acts including the Act on the Prevention and Management of Infectious Diseases, the Quarantine Act, and the Medical Act.
These are particularly aimed at punishing people who refuse to be examined despite showing symptoms and to conduct mandatory examinations on those who have come into contact with a confirmed patient.
The National Assembly closed for a day after it emerged a COVID-19 patient attended a parliamentary forum there last week.
