The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has raised its alert for travel to South Korea to level three, the highest level.
According to a notice on the C-D-C's website on Monday, …American travelers are urged to (quote) "avoid all non-essential travel to South Korea,"…due to widespread community transmission.
It also said access to medical services is limited in areas where the outbreak has been reported.
The C-D-C's highest warning level was also issued for mainland China.
Japan remains at level two.
