S. Korea, U.S. consider downscaling joint drills in March due to COVID-19 outbreak Updated: 2020-02-25 13:39:35 KST

South Korea and the U.S. are looking at scaling down their joint military drills in next month due to the coronavirus outbreak.
That's according to U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper, who was speaking to the press at the Pentagon Monday after talks with his South Korean counterpart Jeong Kyeong-doo.
Jeong explained that any changes to the drills won't impact the allies' combined defense posture.
The two sides still have computer-simulated training exercises planned for next month.
