Magnitude 5.8 earthquake hits Turkey-Iran border Updated: 2020-02-24 07:01:55 KST

Another strong earthquake has hit the border between Turkey and Iran, some ten hours after the first powerful quake over the weekend.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said, the magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck the Turkey-Iran border region on Sunday.
The center says the quake struck at a depth of 2 kilometers.
Several hours earlier, a magnitude 5.7 earthquake hit Turkey near the border with Iran, killing at least nine people and injuring more than 30 in Turkey.
More than 70 people were also injured in Iran.
