Blue House accepts all requests of biz leaders to mitigate COVID-19 shocks Updated: 2020-02-19 17:23:38 KST

South Korea's presidential office has announced it will fully accept all suggestions proposed by the nation's business leaders in efforts to mitigate negative economic impact from the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
During a meeting to discuss COVID-19 countermeasures with President Moon Jae-in last week, leaders of top conglomerates made a set of recommendations that included government support for providing quarantine goods to factories in China, fast-track handling of authorizations for virus-related chemical materials and expansions of custom privileges.

"The Blue House will accept all sixteen recommendations and promptly implement follow-up measures".

Yoon added that Seoul will continue negotiating with the Chinese government on companies' need for factory operations in China and will grant quick approval for any necessary cargo planes linking the two countries.
Meanwhile, the top office has also accepted that a 52-hour work week system does not apply to after-work company get-togethers.
