S. Korea sending relief supplies to Wuhan on Wednesday Updated: 2020-02-19 16:21:17 KST

On Wednesday night, another cargo plane will take off from Incheon, South Korea, heading for Wuhan, the Chinese city at the center of the coronavirus outbreak.
The plane is carrying relief supplies paid for by civic groups and private firms in South Korea as well as the local government of Chungcheongbuk-do Province.
This is the fourth time South Korea is delivering such items to Wuhan.
It has twice sent supplies when evacuating South Korean nationals, and has also sent one load on a cargo plane.
Seoul has allocated 5 million dollars to provide emergency assistance to China over the outbreak.

"Other than Wuhan, the South Korean government is sending relief goods to other parts of China like Chongqing and Shanghai. Tens of thousands of face masks, latex gloves, sterilizer sprays and protective clothes have been sent."

The items sent are determined through consultations between the two countries, with Seoul sending items that are difficult to get hold of in China.
More emergency supplies could be sent in the future.
