S. Korea reports 31st case of COVID-19 Updated: 2020-02-18 10:04:35 KST

With health authorities here in Korea still trying to figure out how the 29th and 30th coronavirus patients got infected the country reports its 31st case this morning.
For more on this, our Kan Hyeong-woo is on the line for us.
Hyeong-woo, tell us more about the new patient.

Ji-yoon, the 31st patient is a 61-year old South Korean woman.
She lives in the city of Daegu, which is about 300 kilometers southeast of Seoul.
According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, she has no recent record of travelling overseas.
Prior to the confirmation of her infection, she had been hospitalized from a car accident, and had also visited a hotel restaurant and attended two religious services.
The patient had a fever and showed symptoms of pneumonia when she visited a local community health center on Monday.
She was immediately quarantined at Daegu Medical Center and was tested for the virus twice in a row.
Both results came out positive.
Her husband and two children have been self-quarantined.
It's the first confirmed case in Daegu, and it is not clear how the latest patient was infected with the virus.
She has not been overseas recently and is known to have had no contact with the previous 30 patients.
Health authorities are trying to figure out where and when she could have been infected.
So far, South Korea has seen no deaths from the coronavirusand 12 out of the 30 confirmed cases in the country have been released from quarantine after making full recoveries.
