A Seoul-Washington working-group meeting took place this morning at Seoul's foreign ministry over inter-Korean issues.
U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for North Korea, Alex Wong met with South Korean Foreign Ministry's Director General for the Korean Peninsula Peace Regime, Rhee Dong-yeol.
Seoul's recent initiative to enable South Koreans to travel to North Korea is expected to have been the main agenda.
Seoul is hoping to boost inter-Korean cooperation in a bid to bring North Korea back to talks on its denuclearization.
Wong will also meet with officials from Seoul's Presidential Blue House and the Unification Ministry before departing on Wednesday.
