Major League pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin has officially become the newest member of the Toronto Blue Jays.
The South Korean star was formally introduced by the only big league club in Canada on Friday at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Representatives of Ryu's team and his agent were also in attendance.
Ryu will continue to wear his signature Number 99 for the Blue Jays.
At the start of the press conference, Ryu spoke in English and French, saying "Hello Canada, bonjour."
He added he's happy to be with the team and he will make the team proud.
Ryu finalized a four-year, 80 million U.S. dollar contract with the Blue Jays on Christmas Day, becoming the Blue Jay's highest-paid pitcher in its history.
