U.S. President Donald Trump, who is now in the UK for a NATO summit in London this week, has vowed to raise the issue of defense spending by NATO allies during the annual gathering.
Speaking to reporters before leaving the White House on Monday, Trump said NATO's General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg has "personally credited him" for pushing more countries to increase their contributions to the alliance.
Trump vowed to call on Washington's NATO allies to pay more, crediting himself for getting 130-billion dollars extra from countries that "weren't paying".
