South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha has departed Seoul this evening to attend the G20 foreign ministers' meeting being held in Nagoya, Japan.
Her attendance was confirmed just before the Blue House announced suspension of terminating military intelligence sharing pact, or GSOMIA, with Tokyo, which was due to expire at the stroke of midnight.
While there, Kang is expected to meet her Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi to deliver Seoul's stance over pending issues, in particular GSOMIA.
On Saturday, Kang is scheduled to meet U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan on the sidelines of the G20 meeting.
