The floor leaders of South Korea's three largest political parties are in Washington D.C. to discuss the defense cost-sharing issue.
Upon his arrival, ruling Democratic party floor leader Lee In-young said he will explain the stance of Korea's National Assembly to the U.S. Congress, which is that the cost should be shared fairly based on mutual respect and trust.
Main opposition Liberty Korea Party floor leader Na Kyung-won pledged to explain the importance of keeping U.S. troops in South Korea.
Bareunmirae Party floor leader Oh Shin-hwan added that they will also discuss with the U.S. Seoul's soon-to-be terminated intel-sharing pact with Japan.
