NSC to work on building "mutually beneficial" alliance at next week's SCM with U.S. Updated: 2019-11-08 16:27:18 KST

South Korea's National Security Council says it will discuss with its American counterparts ways to build a mutually beneficial alliance with the U.S. at their annual Security Consultative Meeting in Seoul next week.
In a standing committee meeting this morning, led by National Security Advisor Chung Eui-yong, members also reviewed the situation at North Korea's Geumgangsan Mountain, where South Korea has tourist facilities.
They discussed ways to implement inter-Korean agreements and to protect South Korean firms' property rights.
Also for the Korea-ASEAN special summit and the Korea-Mekong summit later this month, the NSC plans to continue working to advance relations with ASEAN by actively supporting all branches of government.
