Google claims its quantum computer has solved a problem in just 200 seconds that would take the world's second most powerful computer 10-thousand years.
The tech giant said on Wednesday that with this, it's achieved what's called "quantum supremacy."
While traditional computing relies on bits or ones and zeros quantum computing uses quantum bits or qubits can be both one and zero at the same time.
However, Google's main quantum computing rival IBM is questioning Google's claims, saying a regular supercomputer with additional disk storage could solve such problems within 2 and a half days with greater accuracy.
