N. Korea will see how wisely U.S. will pass rest of year: Senior regime official Updated: 2019-10-24 07:06:14 KST

A top regime official says North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump continue to have close relations based on special mutual trust.
In a statement carried by the North's state media on Thursday, veteran diplomat Kim Kye-gwan said he hopes a momentum can be found to overcome all obstacles and improve relations between North Korea and the U.S.
The statement comes less than three weeks after the regime broke off working-level talks with the U.S. in Stockholm.
The official also said North Korea will see "how wisely the U.S. will pass the end of the year," adding that where there's a will, there's a way.
Earlier this year, Kim Jong-un set an end-of-year deadline for denuclearization talks with the U.S.
