The European Union is getting ready to file a complaint with the World Trade Organization over Colombia's tariffs on European French fries.
That's according to EU trade chief Cecilia Malmstom.
Last November, Colombia imposed anti-dumping duties of up to 8 percent on fries from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
It's not a huge dispute money-wise the EU only ships Colombia fries worth 27-and-a-half million dollars,
But it's highly symbolic, especially for Belgium, which argues that it not France invented the "French" fry.
