14th African swine fever case confirmed in Yeoncheon, officials impose 48 hour standstill order Updated: 2019-10-10 12:58:19 KST

There'd been hopes that South Korea's outbreaks of African swine fever were over but another case has been confirmed making it the 14th case.
The agriculture ministry said Wednesday that a pig farm in Yeoncheon county in Gyeonggi-do Province tested positive.
It's the second confirmed case in that area.
The ministry immediately dispatched quarantine personnel and restricted the movement of people and vehicles there.
A 48-hour standstill order has been also imposed.
Yeoncheon is one of six cities and counties in South Korea that have been newly designated as buffer zones.
