S. Korean airlines to lower fuel surcharges on international flights from October Updated: 2019-09-17 13:13:39 KST

Oil prices have surged, but Korea's airlines will be reducing their fuel surcharges next month on international flights.
According to industry sources, the fuel surcharge will go down to a maximum, on a one-way ticket, of just over 29 U.S. dollars.
Whether to impose a surcharge, and how much, is determined based on jet fuel prices from the month before, in this case through September 15th before the Saudi attacks.
The surcharge will also be reduced on domestic flights to about 3 dollars and 70 cents.
