Hong Kong protesters and police clash again in rally marred by violence Updated: 2019-09-01 09:42:19 KST

On Saturday, pro-democracy protests broke out once again in Hong Kong for 13 weeks running.
Violence was reported as police used tear gas, water cannons and rubber bullets to disperse protesters who threw Molotov cocktails.
The Hong Kong police department also said that two officers fired live ammunition into the air to warn the crowd and clear the streets in the Victoria Park area.
The police had discouraged citizens from taking part in the rally, but it did little to deter the protestors who came out in droves to demand freedom and democracy in Hong Kong.
