Heavy rain in south expands nationwide overnight Updated: 2019-08-21 17:04:47 KST

The rain is expected to cool us off slightly. But some regions are expecting a heavy downpour.

For more details, let's turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center, Michelle?

The southern provinces and Jeju have been receiving some rain already while the capital is seeing only a light drizzle.
However, into the night, the rain will become heavier across the entire country.
By tomorrow afternoon, the central region will gradually see rain clearing off, but the rain will continue until the evening for the southern regions.

The capital and the surrounding regions will only see up to 10 millimeters, whereas Jeju, Jeolla-do and parts of Gyeongsang-do provinces will receive a bucketload of rain with up to 100 millimeters or even more.

So wherever you are, grab your umbrellas in the morning.
Seoul's morning will begin a few notches cooler at 23 degrees Celsius, while it's looking slightly warmer in the south.

The rain will keep it a bit cooler with highs reaching 30 degrees in Seoul, 29 in Daegu, and 28 degrees in Busan.

The weekend will be a rain-free one with capital's daytime high staying below 30 degrees.
Also, the lows will plunge into the low twenties from now on.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
