Sales of Japanese cars in Korea plummeted last month as a nationwide boycott of Japanese goods continues.
They dropped by 32 percent on-month to less than two,seven-hundred units.
The figure is also down more than 17 percent from the same month last year.
Meanwhile, Korea's car production rose more than 17 percent on-year in July.
Korean auto exports were also up by more than 11 and a half percent -- the biggest increase since the turn of the year.
The rise is largely attributed to booming sales of eco-friendly vehicles and SUVs in North America and Europe.
