Samsung Electronics took the biggest share of the global DRAM market in the second quarter. despite sluggish demand overall.
According to global market researcher DRAMeXchange,Samsung posted almost six.eight billion U.S. dollars in sales, taking around 46 percent of the market.
Its share actually went up three percentage points despite a two.seven percent decline in sales compared to the quarter before.
Overall global DRAM market revenue fell by more than nine percent on-quarter.
The American company Micron Technology, meanwhile, saw its revenue drop by a fifth mainly due to the U.S.-China trade war, raising Samsung's market share.
