A huge power outage has hit the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, causing traffic chaos and disrupting mobile networks.
The blackout began on Sunday,. just before noon, local time.
The state power company said the outage was due to technical issues.
Passengers were left stranded as commuter lines came to a halt.
However, the city's international airport and public hospitals stayed open thanks to back-up generators.
Blackouts are frequent in Jakarta, but Sunday's was unusually long at nearly 12 hours.
