Quarry of Joseon royal tomb to be designated as Seoul's cultural heritage Updated: 2019-07-24 16:43:42 KST

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is designating a 17th century quarry as part of the city's cultural heritage.
The quarry was found around three years ago and contains an inscription showing that the stone from it was used to build a royal tomb during the Joseon Dynasty.
The quarry is located in northern Seoul on Bukhansan mountain, where the inscription says its stone was not to be used without permission.
