S. Korea, U.S. coordinating closely to fully implement N. Korea sanctions: Report Updated: 2019-07-13 14:56:10 KST

The U.S. State Department says South Korea and the U.S. are maintaining close coordination on North Korea sanctions, in response to Japan's claim that Seoul has lax export control of strategic materials to the North.
This is according to the Voice of America on Saturday, citing a State Department official.
The official reportedly said all UN members are obligated to enforce UN Security Council resolutions, and that the U.S. expects them to continue doing so.
The South Korean government proposed on Friday, that Seoul and Tokyo should be jointly investigated by an international body on their sanctions enforcement.
