A heat wave advisory has been issued today in parts of Gyeonggi-do Province for the first time this year.
The regions covered by the advisory include Gapyeong, Icheon, Yeoju and Yangpyeong along with some areas in the Gyeongsang-do Provinces.
Under a heat wave advisory,. the chance of getting a heat stroke spikes so people are advised to refrain from outdoor activities between noon and 3 PM Korea time.
The Korea Meteorological Administration says. daytime highs of up to 33 degrees Celsius are likely to continue through Saturday.
