North Korean media pinned the blame on Washington for the nuclear deadlock.
Korean Central News Agency reported Friday that Kim Jong-un, during his summit with president Putin, said peace and security on the Peninsula depends entirely on America's attitude.
While assessing the situation on the Peninsula during the extended summit, the regime's leader reportedly said it's reached a critical point where things might have to go back to how they were because "the U.S. took a unilateral attitude in bad faith at the Hanoi summit."
He also pointed out,. Pyeongyang will prepare for any situation.
Kim and Putin reportedly discussed ways to promote strategic communication and tactical collaboration to ensure peace and security on the peninsula and the region.
The report also mentioned the regime's leader asked his Russian counterpart to visit the North at a convenient time, and that Putin readily accepted the invitation.
