In other efforts to foster cooperation between South Korea and Uzbekistan,
dozens of journalism scholars from both countries gathered for a conference on Friday to share their experiences and research.
"South Korea and Uzbekistan are not only cooperating on a political level but also on an educational level.
We came here today to exchange each other's experiences and discuss ways to develop the transformation of the media landscape and journalism around the globe."
The two sides exchanged ideas on ways to tackle problems in journalism and media such as ways to cope with fake news.
The latest seminar follows a joint forum hosted by two Uzbek universities last year, which was attended by 10 Korean scholars.
