WTO rules in U.S. favor against China's use of tariff-rate quotas for rice, wheat, and corn Updated: 2019-04-19 13:17:02 KST

The World Trade Organization has ruled in favor of the U.S. and its claim that China's use of tariff-rate quotas for rice, wheat and corn unfairly limits America's access to the Chinese market.
The WTO found China had not been transparent, predictable or fair in managing the quotas.
The case was started by the Obama administration, and marks the second U.S. victory over China this year.
In February, the WTO ruled that China unfairly subsidized its grain producers.
