Son Heung-min's two goals and his performance in Wednesday night's UEFA Champions League quarter final earned the South Korean forward plenty of praise from the international media.
Son was on the main page on CNN's international website soon after the match was over… saying that 'it felt like the next chapter in an extraordinary story'.
CNN also ran a separate story calling him a superstar and reporting in detail on his profile, wide fanbase and his marketability based on his popularity.
BBC selected Son as the player of the match with a rating of eight.five-three.
And the UK-based Express newspaper called Son 'a shining light for Spurs' describing his second goal as superb… and saying that he played all evening, harrying and harassing Manchester City.
However, despite his contribution, Son will miss the first leg of Tottenham Hotspur's Champions League semi-final against Ajax as he received his third European yellow card of the season during Wednesday’s match against Manchester City.
