South Korea has submitted a bid to host the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
In the process, however,. the Korea Football Association dropped its earlier proposal to co-host the global sporting event with North Korea.
Last month, the two Koreas said they were interested in a joint bid. but since then there had been no further discussions on the proposal.

Eight other countries including Argentina, Japan and South Africa. also submitted bids by the registration deadline on Wednesday.
FIFA is expected to announce the host of 2023 Women's World Cup in March next year.
