South Korea's Park Ha-eun wins first ever gold medal in Special Olympics World Games Updated: 2019-03-16 13:34:12 KST

South Korea won its first gold medal at the Special Olympics World Games being held in Abu Dhabi on Friday, local time.
At the 100-meter race for roller skating, Park Ha-eun - diagnosed with autism - came in first after finishing at a time of 13.45 seconds.
Park is only 13 years old, the youngest of the 106 athletes from Team Korea, which makes Park's win all the more meaningful with many more peak years likely ahead of her.
She has one more race left on Sunday, the 300-meter game.
