Rolling out the red carpet, Malaysia staged an official welcoming ceremony for the visiting South Korean president, the first foreign leader to be hosted by Sultan Abdullah since his ascension to the throne earlier this year.
Later in the day, President Moon will be sitting down for a meeting with Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad for talks on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Sitting down with the Sultan of Abdullah of Pahang and Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad,… President Moon will witness the signing of four memorandums of understanding,… which includes deals relating to the Fourth Industrial Revolution as well as Smart City development and cooperation in the halal industry.
On Tuesday, President Moon attended an event in Kuala Lumpur were he noted the Hallyu Wave and Malaysia's Halal Certification industry will bring about a synergy effect in various ways.
"If South Korea and Malaysia work together and jointly enter the market, it will become a new model of economic cooperation."

With the help of Malaysian government's world-exclusive Halal Certification process, President Moon hopes to drive up bilateral trade between the two countries past last year's 18 billion U.S. dollars
