South Korea has the fastest wifi speed in the world, according to a recent study.
The Korea Telecommunications Operators Association said Monday that they compared ten major cities around the world, and South Korea's wifi download speed topped the list, recording more than 133.four megabites per second.
That's nearly twice as fast as Toronto which came second. Paris recorded 53.nine and New York lagged behind at 31 megabites a second.
Korea also saw its average upload time hit 34 megabites, compared to the 17 to 30 megabites in the world's biggest cities.
Researchers attribute the outstanding speed to high quality internet circuits.
The country's public wifi speed also streaks ahead at roughly 2-hundred-and-ninety megabites per second, more than ten times quicker than London and New York.
