South Korea has launched another satellite into orbit, this time, a stationary meterological satellite.
Seoul's Ministry of Science of ICT confirmed the launch took place at 5:40AM Korea time from a space center in French Guiana.
The Chollian 2A was on board the Ariane 5 rocket, in a dual passenger launch, which included an Indian satellite.
A signal has been received confirming the launch was successful.
The Chollian 2A will send high-res pictures of weather front developments and the Earth's surface to local researchers every ten minutes.
