A senior U.S. official has confirmed preparations for the meeting between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un have been going on behind the scenes for several weeks.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the official told reporters that people with a lot of experience are working on the issue and "all that knowledge is being marshaled into a tightly guardedbut thorough process."
However, there's still no word yet on the exact date or location where Trump and Kim will meet.
President Trump said this week the meeting will be in May or early June.
Meanwhile, Trump is due to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida next week to discuss the upcoming summit with Kim.
