President Moon Jae-in and First Lady Kim Jung-sook visited Pyeongchang to watch a cross-country skiing event at the Winter Paralympics.
It's their first time being a spectator at a Paralympic event since the Games began last Friday.
Skiers of both Koreas took part in that competition.
A total of 22 North Korean athletes were granted wild-card spots by the International Paralympic Committee.
After the race, the liberal leader offered encouragement to both the South and North Korean teams.
Widely seen as a display of good will ahead of next month's inter-Korean summit.
