THAAD row affects S. Korea's cultural content business Updated: 2017-11-11 12:16:24 KST

China's economic retaliation over the deployment of the U.S. THAAD anti-missile system has badly affected South Korea's cultural content makers.
The Bank of Korea said Saturday that the trade surplus within the cultural content sector dropped 40 percent on-year during the January to September period.
South Korean TV programs, music and films are considered cultural contents.
China had banned K-Pop groups from performing in the country and stopped the import of various South Korean media contents in protest over the THAAD deployment.
