The leaders of South Korea and Vietnam have agreed to reinforce the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The agreement comes as President Moon Jae-in and his Vietnamese counterpart ( - - ) Tran Dai Quang held a bilateral summit in Danang on Saturday, on the sidelines of the 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.
This year also marks the 25th anniversary since Seoul and Hanoi established diplomatic relations.
President Moon is in Vietnam to attend the APEC forum, along with officials and leaders from 20 other member economies.
He will hold a bilateral summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping later this afternoon, the first meeting between the two since Seoul and Beijing issued a joint statement in an effort to normalize their bilateral relationship.
