Korea's economic recovery to continue on robust exports, increased consumption: Finance Ministry Updated: 2017-11-10 15:08:49 KST

Korea's economy will likely continue to recover at its current pace thanks to strong exports and a rebound in domestic consumption.
The Finance Ministry said in its monthly report Friday that domestic demand, which has held back economic growth this year, is recovering, with September's retail sales up percent from the month before.
The Ministry said robust exports and extra government spending will continue to support growth in the months to come.
But it added that a possible U.S. interest rate hike and tensions on the Korean Peninsula continue to put downward pressure on economic growth.
