Gwangju court chief Yoo Nam-seok appointed to Constitutional Court Updated: 2017-11-10 15:08:54 KST

President Moon has appointed a new justice to the Constitutional Court, filling a spot that's been vacant since January.
The new justice is Yoo Nam-seok, who has been serving as chief of the Gwangju High Court.
The Presidential Office said Friday that President Moon approved his appointment using an electronic system, since he's away on an eight-day tour of Southeast Asia.
Yoo will serve a six-year term, filling a vacancy on the nine-member bench that opened up when former Chief Justice Park Han-chul retired earlier this year.
